📘 Content:

1. What is a Problem?

A problem is a gap between your current situation and your desired outcome. In freelancing, problems may include:

  • Unclear client expectations

  • Missed deadlines

  • Scope creep

  • Communication breakdowns

2. Problem Identification Frameworks:

  • 5 Whys Technique – Ask “Why?” five times to find the root cause.

  • SWOT Analysis – Identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.

  • Fishbone Diagram (Ishikawa) – Analyze causes across categories: people, process, tools, etc.

3. Signs of Underlying Problems:

  • Frequent revision requests

  • Late payments

  • High client turnover
